Whether you are going out with your roommate, friends, or your special someone, here are five local date ideas that won’t blow your college budget for the month.

1. Eat at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Bellevue.

Stepping into Maggiano’s Little Italy is like traveling to Chicago in 1950 for an evening. It is very elegant without being too spendy, and the gourmet Italian food is delicious! They offer a great option of Marco’s Meal For Two, which includes an appetizer, two classic pastas, two other pastas to take home, and a dessert to share. All of this for $39.99! Call for reservations ahead of time and get dressed up!

2. Take a Ride on the Great Wheel on the Seattle Waterfront.

Riding our city’s ferris wheel could not be any more romantic as you see the city lights and our amazing waterfront views. Head downtown and walk through Pike Place Market beforehand for an extra fun experience. With Great Wheel tickets as cheap as $13 each, you can even get a beautiful Pike Place flower bouquet.

3. Play a Few Games at the Seattle Pinball Museum.

This is for all you 90s kids! This museum offers over 50 vintage pinball machines to play and compare high scores on your date. Entrance is only $13, and while you play you can enjoy vintage sodas and various snacks for purchase. Talk about throwback!

4. Tour the Theo Chocolate Factory in Seattle.

Everyone loves chocolate, so why not head to an amazing local chocolate factory to see how it is made? The tour costs $10 each and lasts about an hour and includes exciting different chocolate samples throughout.

5. Dance the Night Away at the Century Ballroom.

The Century Ballroom is café and dance studio in Seattle that offers opportunities to learn and practice the tango, the salsa, the waltz and the swing dance. There is a lesson given and then free time to put your moves into practice with your date or friends. No session is higher than $16 each, and promises to be a great time.
