The second edition of “NU Loves Kirkland” was marked by an expanded outreach. Students once again helped clean up trash at several area parks, and several other service opportunities were added this year. Groups of students wrote cards for local firefighters, pastors and missionaries, and prepared dinners for a local women’s shelter.
“This day of mission and service is a step in sharing the love of Christ to our neighbors by meeting and caring for simple needs,” said Campus Pastor Christian Dawson, in an email to students and faculty.
