The second annual Northwest University Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was held last night on the Secrist Plaza outside HSC. President Joseph Castleberry delivered an Advent message and hot cocoa and cookies were served while members of NU worship teams led the attendees in singing Christmas carols. The ASNU team collaborated with the President’s Office in hosting the event, decorating the tree as well as welcoming attendees with an introduction from Student Body Vice President Alex Lee and a closing prayer from Student Body President Stephano Musa. Chief of Staff Hannah Vaughn said that ASNU is looking forward to working with the President’s Office more in the future to help host the event.
