SAB hosted the fifth annual Mr. Northwest competition last week Thursday, Feb. 27. The evening featured different components for judging including choreographed dances, talent demonstrations, and of course a variety of outfit changes. For those who attended the event, SAB encouraged a formal dress code, and many student chose to embrace the 1920s theme through their attire. After a thorough presentation of acts by each contestant, judges declared Kazu Watanabe to be this year’s winner and the newly crowned Mr. Northwest. Watanabe is also the first international student to win the competition. As per tradition, the evening ended as Watanabe was crowned by the previous year’s winner, Carson Wise.
