On Sept. 28, approximately 230 students participated in the fun run/walk event known as Color Chaos. This was the third year Northwest University has held this event. The 1.2-mile Color Chaos course ran through the NU campus. Participants, dressed in white Color Chaos t-shirts, got doused with food-colored powder at eight color stations along the course, and at the finish line they were invited to jump into a large foam pit. The event concluded in a festival with live music and snack stands.

Organized by the Student Activities Board (SAB), Color Chaos was also supported by NU Eagle athletes and student volunteers. Larissa Lilly, NU’s director of Community Life said, “I love the collaboration that happens with this event to bring it to life – we truly could not do it without the help of Athletics and Maintenance.” The whole event lasted about three hours, including registration, the run, and cleaning up the site.

Color Chaos was brought back to NU this year after a break in 2018. According to SAB, Color Chaos is expected to be a yearly event in the future, with possible changes to the schedule and potential additional activities.
